Good yoga is therapeutic yoga. In other words, when practiced regularly there will naturally be therapeutic “side-effects” —a calmer mind, stronger muscles, healthier joints and well-functioning organs to name just a few. In this class, we will dive a little more deeply into sequences and concepts that target common problems, focus on specific parts of the body, and explore the use of props to facilitate "SVADYAYA", the study of Self, through the practice of asana.
Please note that props are used in this class. The ideal yoga kit should contain: 3 blankets, 2 bricks, 2 yoga belts, a bolster, and a folding chair of some sort. Often you can make use of furniture in your own home if you do not have all of this on hand.
